I'm the Senior Economy Writer for CNN Business, where I report about all aspects of the economy, including covering critical data releases as well as writing economic features about how individuals, businesses, and their communities are affected. In my time at CNN, I've also covered consumer topics as well as written about the emerging cannabis industry.
Prior to joining CNN, I was a Knight-Bagehot Business & Economics fellow (2018-19 class) at Columbia University, where I furthered my business, economic, investigative and data journalism skills during the course of this selective and academically rigorous fellowship.
Before the Knight-Bagehot fellowship, I served as a longtime business journalist in my home state of Colorado, where I reported across a vast array of topics and industries for The Denver Post and the Boulder Daily Camera. I'm a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder (Go Buffs).
