Thank you for attending our 2023 National Convention! It was wonderful to welcome so many old friends and new faces to Philadelphia.
Carter (they/them) is an award-winning, transgender journalist who is passionate about changing the world. They work at MSNBC as a Graphics PA on Yasmin Vossoughian Reports and have been featured on other NBC platforms for their insight on how to properly report on transgender kids. They studied TV production at Montclair State University, where they won a college Television Academy award for their producing, a Cablefax award for their control room directing, and a Folio award for their camera operating skills. Carter graduated college in January 2023 and hopes to continue on the path to becoming a writer/producer. They are passionate about reporting on LGBT topics, climate change, politics, and social issues. They are proud to be a trans voice in the newsroom and strive to be the change they wish to see in the world.
