In this session, we will explore self-care practices, especially when you're covering your own community as a trans or nonbinary person in the newsroom. We will also discuss why it's important for newsrooms to provide institutional support to trans and nonbinary/LGBTQ+ reporters and editors in order to create sustainable coverage — and what barriers are facing trans and nonbinary journalists in their workplaces.
