2023 NLGJA National Convention

This is a session designed for mid-career attendees who are looking for their next career move, but aren't sure where to go or how to get there.. Many of us who are marginalized have nontraditional paths into the work we do. This workshop/panel will teach attendees how to identify what they want in their career, and then how to collate their work and life experiences into a professional elevator pitch that puts them in the best position to achieve their goals.  As recruiters who work with news outlets and media-adjacent organizations across the country, we've placed folks in more than 40 positions with a focus on DBEI -- from reporters to the leadership and executive level. URL Media Senior Recruiter Sonali Kohli will moderate a panel of folks who will talk about questions to ask yourself to figure out what you want, and help develop a roadmap for how to get it.
