Join Loyola Marymount University and LGBTQ+ Victory Institute for an exclusive first look at the largest survey of LGBTQ+ candidates ever conducted. Built on survey data from almost 500 LGBTQ+ candidates who ran for office in the U.S. over the past five years, this landmark study explores candidates' motivations to run, their unique challenges on the campaign trail at a time of growing anti-LGBTQ+ attacks and the impact LGBTQ+ leaders have once elected. The session will delve into the unique experiences of Black, Latinx and AAPI LGBTQ+ candidates, as well as transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming candidates. Physical and digital copies of the report will be available to participants, and the embargo will lift following the session.
