Style has come a long way. Gone are the days when the AP Stylebook was merely a spiral-bound place for copy editors to find annually revised guidance on commas and capitalization. Increasingly, reporters and other journalists who don't sit on the copy desk (what copy desk?) turn to the constantly updated digital version of journalism's essential resource for modern advice on storytelling and standards around gender, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, disabilities, and other matters of inclusivity and accuracy. In this session, the editors of the AP Stylebook will talk about how they craft the guidance, how to make it work for you, and the methods you can use to create your own in-house guidance. Plus, enter a raffle to win your own copy of an AP Stylebook.
