Madeline Ducharme
Slate Magazine
Producer, What Next
Washington DC
I'm an audio journalist, researcher, and WGA Award-nominated writer. I'm currently a producer on Slate's daily news podcast, the Ambie award-winning, What Next.
Before that, I was the assistant producer of Slate's narrative history show, One Year. Our first season on 1977 was recognized by the New York Times as one of the top 10 podcasts of 2021.
In 2020, I was on the team that created the fourth season of Slate's history podcast, Slow Burn. Our season on white supremacist David Duke was recognized by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities with the inaugural Best in Digital Humanities award.
In my spare time, I write about culture and LGBTQ life for Slate.com, bike dozens of miles throughout DC, and host Taylor Swift listening parties at my local dive bar.
