Hi! I'm a longtime NLGJA member, initially part of the Northwestern University Chapter and a former participant in Student Connect. I now live in Philadelphia covering gun violence for WHYY News. I seek to write solutions stories about poverty, injustice and other big social problems. I have been building a practice of trauma-informed interviewing and writing, honed during my recent experience as an Ochberg fellow at Columbia University's Dart Center. Past focus areas include Black infant mortality, rural suicide, sexual violence and police brutalty. I would love to talk to others about trauma-informed and community-engaged reporting!
