Eric Hegedus is a deputy lifestyle editor at the New York Post. He previously was associate digital entertainment editor and a producer/designer at the publication, where he has worked since 2005. Before that Eric was a designer and photo editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer and, prior to that, a photo editor and photographer for Gannett publications. He is a longtime “Star Trek” fan and does not consider the term “Trekkie” a pejorative; it is a badge of honor. Eric is a past national president and former at-large board member of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists. He also is co-chair of the organization’s Headlines & Headliners New York benefit.
