Erin K. Coyle is an associate professor of journalism and journalism department director of undergraduate studies in the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University. She became interested in researching journalism ethics, press freedom, access issues and privacy issues when she worked as a journalist. She uses legal and historical research methods to examine journalism ethics, freedom of expression, access to government information and official, privacy rights and fair trial rights. She teaches journalism law and ethics, reporting and writing and journalism history courses.
