Previously Lil covered income inequality for CalMatters, reported on tech and California politics as a senior fellow at Mother Jones, and were an arts and culture reporter at The Myanmar Times, formerly Myanmar’s only English language daily newspaper. They were an inaugural Los Angeles Press Club fellow in 2019 and their reporting appears in The Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, LAist, and elsewhere.
